Background :This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using CREB1 antibody .
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.

Immunoprecipitation analysis of 300ug extracts of HeLa cells using 3ug CREB1 antibody . Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using CREB1 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000.
