Background :This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Western blot analysis of extracts of NIH/3T3 cells, using Phospho-CREB1-S133 antibody at 1:1000 dilution.NIH/3T3 cells were treated by UV at room temperature for 15-30 minutes.NIH/3T3 cells were treated by Anisomycin at 37℃ for 30 minutes.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.
