Background :Protein-histidine N-methyltransferase that specifically mediates 3-methylhistidine (tele-methylhistidine methylation of actin at 'His-73'. Histidine methylation of actin is required for smooth muscle contraction of the laboring uterus during delivery. Does not have protein-lysine N-methyltransferase activity and probably only catalyzes histidine methylation of actin.

Product :1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2

Purification&Purity :The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using SETD3 antibody at 1:1000 dilution.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Basic Kit .
Exposure time: 30s.

Immunoprecipitation analysis of 200ug extracts of HeLa cells, using 3 ug SETD3 antibody . Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using SETD3 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000.
